Honoring High School Seniors

We understand that high school seniors are missing out on so much this year, and we want to show them some Grayhawk love. We will be featuring a "Grayhawk High" section in the May issue of the Grayhawk Flight. If you have a senior, send a photo and brief bio to Jenn at jsheets@ccmcnet.com. Anything goes! We'd love to share their story with their neighbors.

Weekly Activites
Each week will feature a exciting activity or challenge, with the activity being introduced on Monday and the winner (if applicable) being announced Friday. This week's activity is featured below.

Egg Decorating Craft
We've got a fun way to celebrate Easter, even if we aren't able to hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt! This kit will include a white plastic egg and mini markers for your kiddos to decorate it with. The Easter Bunny will be delivering kits to you at home on Thursday between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. We only have 100 kits, so this craft will be available on a first come first served basis. You must register for this event to secure your kit! Be sure to post your finished products on the Grayhawk Facebook page!

Letters to the Vi
April 1- April 30
Are you at home looking for something to do and would like to give your kids some writing practice? We are looking for pen pals! The residents of the Vi would love to receive pictures, letters, or drawings from you and your kids. Help them feel the love while staying indoors and out of harm’s way with words of encouragement and fun drawings. We will be collecting the letters here at the GCA office during the whole month of April. Please drop them in the drop slot on the left side of our door or mail them if you prefer. Thirsty Thursday
Every Thursday, we will partner will a local restaurant to host Thirsty Thursday. A staff member from the featured restaurant will show us through a video how to make a specialty cocktail, and you'll even be able to pick up the ingredients at the restaurant curbside. This is a great way to brush up on your bartending skills and support a local business at the same time. Cheers!

Parma Italiano Ristorante

Log into the Grayhawk Facebook page at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 9 to see what fun the bartenders at Parma are mixing up for you! You can watch a short tutorial on how to make one of their signature beverages, Strawberry Flower, to make at home. Did you know that you can call ahead to Parma at 480-292-9900 to order this drink and/or dinner for your family? Then all you have to do is drive up to the restaurant and take your to go order home to enjoy. Send us a picture of you utilizing the take out option at Parma and be entered to win a $100 Parma Gift card!

Fitness Friday
Overdo it on Thursday? That's okay! Erase it all with Fitness Friday! Each week we'll feature a local business owner with a different perspective on fitness.

Premier Fitness Systems
Fri., April 10
Check out this Fridays Fitness class featuring Premier Fitness Systems. Instructors will lead you in a short tutorial video you can follow along with at home! Check out the Grayhawk Community Association Facebook page every Friday for all your Fitness needs.

Loop 101 Closures

Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) ramps at Hayden Road and Pima Road/Princess Drive scheduled to close in April and remain closed through JuneL

• Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 5, the eastbound Pima Freeway on-ramp at Hayden Road and the eastbound Pima Freeway off-ramp at Pima Road/PrincessDrive will close around-the-clock through June.

• Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 12,the westbound Pima Freeway off-ramp at Hayden Road and westbound Pima Freeway on-ramp at Pima Road/Princess Drive will close around-the-clock through June.

Board Meetings Canceled

The Grayhawk Community Association and Retreat Village Association board meetings scheduled for Monday, April 6 have been canceled. Please contact 480-563-9708 if you have any questions.

Golf Tournament Canceled

In light of recent federal guidance to extend the quarantine through April 30, the Community Golf Tournament scheduled for May 3 has been canceled. We will do our best to work with the Grayhawk Golf Club to find a date to reschedule in the fall. Please watch for more information in the coming months.

Common Area Amenities

As a reminder, all common area amenities including the tot lots, ramadas, and Retreat Village tennis courts, pools and restrooms have been temporarily closed.

Grayhawk has over 30 miles of walking and biking trails and those are still open. If you do out into the community, please follow all social distancing guidelines and preemptive measures recommended by the CDC.

Transponder Installation (RVA Only)

Installations this week will occur on Monday from 8-9 a.m., Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102). For questions, please contact Cierra at 480-563-9708 or caustin@ccmcnet.com.

Transponders will be installed per the regular schedule, however, there will be modifications as no residents will be coming into the office. If you would like to have a transponder installed please follow the steps below:
1. Complete the online transponder installation form
2. Come to the office during the schedule time in the vehicle you are having the transponder installed on.
3. Park in front of the office and stay in your car
4. A staff member will come out to install your transponder
