Community UpdateWith Governor Ducey's announcement yesterday afternoon regarding the ability for gyms and pools to re-open ahead of the expiration of his Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected order, the Retreat Village Board of Directors has decided to open the neighborhood pools in the Retreat Village on May 15. This includes the pool at Crown Point. Please read below for guidelines in relation to the pools: - GCA management staff and Trident Security patrol staff will not be regulating the number of residents using the pool nor will they be enforcing social distancing guidelines. Residents should use the pool at their own risk and can call the Scottsdale Police Department non-emergency line at 480-312-5000 regarding any concerns.
- Non-chaise chairs will not be available for use. Chaise lounge chairs will be spaced to allow for appropriate social distancing.
- Chairs will be folded down in the morning, indicating that they have been sanitized and are ready for use. Once a chair back is up, residents can assume that the chair has been used and should use the chair at their own risk.
- The restrooms at each pool will be open, with soap available for hand washing. The pool areas including the pool deck, pool furniture, and pool bathrooms will continue to be regularly cleaned and sanitized, however, residents are encouraged bring the necessary items the pool areas to ensure their safety (face masks, sanitary wipes, hand sanitizer, etc.) and to use these areas at their own risk.
- Those swimming should not wear face masks as cloth face coverings can be difficult to breath through when wet.
- Residents who are sick or vulnerable to COVID-19 are asked to please stay home.
Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time. We appreciate your understanding and support.
