Dumping

Please keep our community beautiful by disposing of construction materials, large bulk items and trimmings  properly and NOT dumping that material on Association or City of Scottsdale common area or in and around dumpsters. It is your responsibility as a homeowner to remind your vendors of this as well. Thank you for your cooperation!

City of Scottsdale Bulk Trash

Due to recent storms, a substantial increase in the amount of material being put out for collection and a labor shortage, monthly Brush and Bulk Collection is running behind schedule. The city is doing everything it can to get materials picked up as soon as possible.

Crews will be picking up curbside only in  Area 4 (including Grayhawk) the week of Oct. 25. To help crews catch up, please do not exceed existing city guidelines for the size of your brush and bulk pile, ten feet long, six feet wide and 4 feet in height (10x6x4). Find more about brush and bulk pickup on the City of Scottsdale website.

Protecting Against Mosquitos

Maricopa County has seen a surge in mosquitos this year thanks to heavy monsoon rains. We encourage you to take the following steps to protect yourself:

  1. Stay indoors at dusk and dawn when mosquitos are most active.
  2. When possible, wear long-sleeved shirts and pants and spray exposed areas with mosquito repellent.
  3. Eliminate standing water in your yard.
  4. Remove dense shrubbery around your home.
  5. Make sure doors and windows have tight-fitting screens with no holes and remain closed.

If you notice excessive mosquitos, please report it to Maricopa County Environmental Services. Maricopa County Environmental Services conducts year-round surveillance and abatement of mosquitoes. Their Vector Control Division deploys routine mosquito traps every week and additional complaint driven traps to collect mosquitoes. You can view trap locations on the Mosquito Management Map.
