Homes with a View Fence

As a reminder, if you live in a home with a metal view fence you cannot attach anything to the fence, including bistro/string lights and decorations. The Association maintains those view fences and any attached items could compromise the structure of the fencing.  Please make sure to remove any items if necessary to avoid a violation, as GCA staff members will be sending notices in the coming weeks.

Protecting Against Mosquitos

Maricopa County has seen a surge in mosquitos this year thanks to heavy monsoon rains. We encourage you to take the following steps to protect yourself:

  1. Stay indoors at dusk and dawn when mosquitos are most active.
  2. When possible, wear long-sleeved shirts and pants and spray exposed areas with mosquito repellent.
  3. Eliminate standing water in your yard.
  4. Remove dense shrubbery around your home.
  5. Make sure doors and windows have tight-fitting screens with no holes and remain closed.

If you notice excessive mosquitos, please report it to Maricopa County Environmental Services. Maricopa County Environmental Services conducts year-round surveillance and abatement of mosquitoes. Their Vector Control Division deploys routine mosquito traps every week and additional complaint driven traps to collect mosquitoes. You can view trap locations on the Mosquito Management Map.
