Earth Day Art in the Park

Grab the kids and head over to the greenbelt at 78th Pl. and 78th Way on April 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. to enjoy Earth Day with friends as you decorate a flower pot and plant beautiful flowers. All supplies are included and cold waters will also be available. Register by April 20.

Adopt-A-Road

We are looking for a few good volunteers to aid in our Adopt-A-Road cleanup on April 23. Meet at the GCA office at 8 a.m. and expect to finish by about 10 a.m. We will provide water, gloves, safety vests and trash bags. All volunteers 17 years of age and under must be with a guardian. This is a great way to complete community service hours. Please register if you plan to attend.

Ladies Bunco

Join neighbors at the Peregrine Pool at 6 p.m. on April 27 for a night of food, drinks and Bunco! Never played before? Don’t worry! We’ll do a quick lesson before we get started. Just register online and drop $5 exact cash to the office by 5 p.m. on April 22. Yoga for Golfers

Join Yoga For Golfers® Certified Instructor, Tina Uphoff, on April 30 from 9-10:15 a.m. for a clinic that applies yoga-based physical and mental conditioning to the biomechanics of your golf swing to create more power and distance in your game. No experience is necessary! Just bring your yoga mat, one of your iron golf clubs and water. Cost of the clinic is $25 per person. Register by April 22 to save your spot!

Vandalism

Over the weekend, hundreds of pet waste bags were pulled out of stations throughout The Park. Cleaning up this type of vandalism is a waste of resources and is costly to the Association. Please talk to your children about the importance of caring for their community. If you see vandalism taking place, please call Scottsdale PD at 480-312-5000.

Brush and Bulk Pickup

Scottsdale Brush and Bulk collection will take place in Grayhawk the week of April 25. Items must be placed for pickup by 5 a.m. on April 25. Stack items neatly, parallel to the street on your front property line. Bulk waste piles and green waste piles should be placed at least 3 feet from each other. Visit the City of Scottsdale website for more information.

Installations for this week and next will occur on Monday from 8-9 a.m., Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102).
