Important Guardhouse Project Updates
It is anticipated that the old Raptor guardhouse will be demolished on Wednesday, Feb. 8 and the final stages of the transition to the new guardhouse are taking place this afternoon. A few things you should know:
- The resident lane barrier arm is being temporarily kept open due to lack of power.
- ABDI is still working and guards are processing guests and vendors through the visitor lane.
During demolition on Feb. 8, the visitor lane will be restricted and all traffic will be processed through the resident lane. Residents are encouraged to use alternate gates to avoid waiting in line behind vendors and guests being processed through the main gate. Demolition will begin at 7 a.m. and continue through most of the day.
If the Raptor demolition and transition stays on schedule, it is anticipated that the Talon guardhouse will be demolished on Thursday, Feb. 9. Residents in the Talon Retreat will then be asked to use alternate gates to reduce traffic in the resident lane at the main gate.
