Foster Alliance Volunteer Day

Meet fellow volunteers on Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 2-4 p.m.at the Foster Alliance warehouse to “shop” and fill Birthday Dream bags for Arizona youth in foster care. Space is limited. Register by Aug. 19.

Ladies Bunco

Join neighbors in the Raptor Room at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 for a night of food, drinks and Bunco! Never played before? Don’t worry! We’ll do a quick lesson before we get started. Just register online and drop $5 exact cash to the office by 5 p.m. on Sept. 3. Then bring a bottle of wine or an appetizer to share the night of the event.

City of Scottsdale Bulk Pickup instructions

City of Scottsdale Bulk Trash

Brush and Bulk collection will take place in Grayhawk the week of August 26. Items must be placed for pickup by 5 a.m. on August 26. Stack items parallel to the street on your front property line. Bulk waste piles and green waste piles should be placed at least 3 feet from each other. Visit the City of Scottsdale website for more information.

Construction Material

If you are having construction materials delivered, please make sure that they are stored on your property (driveway or landscaping) and that the materials are not blocking any portion of the sidewalk and street. This includes materials that are delivered and will be installed the same day. The sidewalks need to remain clear at all times for the safety of your neighbors.

Grayhawk Dr. Construction

A manhole collar on Grayhawk Dr. in the Talon Retreat is being replaced on Thursday, Aug. 22. There will be flaggers around the site aiding with traffic flow. Please be patient and use caution as you drive through.

Transponder Installation

Installations for this week will occur on Monday from 8-9, Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102).
