A big thank you to the residents that donated their time at the recent Foster Alliance Volunteer Day. Volunteers shopped the warehouse and then decorated and filled Birthday Dream bags for Arizona youth in foster care.

Ladies Bunco

Join neighbors in the Raptor Room at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 for a night of food, drinks and Bunco! Never played before? Don’t worry! We’ll do a quick lesson before we get started. Just register online and drop $5 exact cash to the office by 5 p.m. on Sept. 3. Then bring a bottle of wine or an appetizer to share the night of the event.

Stargazing

Grab a flashlight and some chairs and head over to the Grayhawk Greenbelt on the corner of 78th Way and 78th Pl. on Sept. 30 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. for a night of stars and planets with Stargazing for Everyone. We'll have Moon Pies, drinks and lots of fun for all ages. Cost is $3 per person. Register by Sept. 18.

Tequila Tasting

Join your neighbors on Sept. 26 from 4:30-6 p.m. at Blue Agave Mexican Cantina to taste some top shelf tequilas. The cost to participate is $35 per person and includes three tequila tastings and heavy appetizers. Register by Sept. 18.

Political Signage

The state of Arizona regulates how homeowners' associations handle political signage.
Political signs must not be displayed more than 71 days prior to the primary election and more than 15 days after the general election. Signage for any primary candidate that does not advance to the general election must be removed within 15 days of the primary election. The signage must be kept on the owner’s property and the maximum aggregate total dimensions of all political signs on any owner’s property shall not exceed nine square feet. Home Modifications

When making any changes to your home that are visible from the street or neighboring property, please ensure modifications are approved by the Architectural Review Committee. You can find more about the submittal process and guidelines for modifications on our website. If you are unsure if your project needs approval or if you have questions about a submittal, contact Ashley Scott.

Vendor Hours

As a reminder, vendors are permitted to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. (quiet work only). On Labor Day (Sept. 2), vendors are permitted between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. for quiet work only. Please do not have vendors working at your home outside of those hours.

Monterey Retreat Pool Closure

The Monterey pool area will be closed from Monday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 1 for deck sealing. The pool area will reopen on Monday, Sept. 2. An alternate pool area will be provided for use during this time, if requested. Contact Bri at bminjarez@ccmcnet.com or 480-563-9708 for information.

Installations for this week will occur on Monday from 8-9, Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102).
