Online Scams and Identity Theft
Join a representative from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in the Talon Room on Oct. 30 from 6-7 p.m. to learn how to recognize warning signs, implement prevention techniques, and understand the steps to take if you encounter a scam. Register by Monday, Oct. 28.

Adopt-A-Road Cleanup

We are looking for a few good volunteers to aid in our Adopt-A-Road cleanup on Saturday, Nov. 2. We will meet at the GCA office at 8 a.m. and you can expect to be done by 10 a.m. Water, gloves, safety vests and trash bags will be provided. This is a great way to complete community service hours,. Volunteers 17 years of age and under must be with a guardian. Please register if you plan to attend.

Floral Bouquet Class

Join us in the Talon Room on Nov. 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. to ignite your passion for flowers. Led by floral designers from Poppies Flower Shop, this hands-on class covers the fundamentals of working with various flowers, foliage, and other botanical elements. Cost is $50 per person. Reserve your spot now! Register by Nov. 1.

Throw on your best flannel and join us in the Grayhawk Greenbelt on Nov. 10 from 1-3 p.m. for all things country! We'll have award-winning BBQ from Little Miss BBQ, live music, line dancing lessons, a mechanical bull, horseshoes, a pony ring, and more! Cost is $5 for kids 3-11 years old, $10 for anyone 12 years and older and free for those 2 and younger. Registration and payment are due no later than Sunday, Nov. 3. We will accept registrations until noon on Nov. 7, but the cost will be $10 for kids and $20 for 12 and older. We will not be accepting walk-ups to this event. Special thanks to Starlight Roofing and Jeremy Mueller at State Farm for making this event possible!

Halloween Driving Safety

Be alert for trick-or-treaters and other pedestrians.
Minimize driving, if possible. If you have to go out, please drive slowly.
Watch for trick-or-treaters in unexpected places. Children may dart into the street unexpectedly.

Vendor Hours

As a reminder, vendors are permitted to work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. (quiet work only). Holiday hours for vendors can be found on the Grayhawk website. Please do not have vendors working at or delivering to your home outside of these hours.

Transponder Not Working?

Retreat residents may have issues with their transponders sporadically not working. In many cases, the transponders may be older and starting to fail. Transponders, like most electronic devices, do periodically need to be replaced. If your transponder is more than a year old and you start having issues, please reach out to Bri via email or by calling 480-563-9708 so that she can look at your account and provide information on the next steps to take.

Transponder Installation

Installations for this week will occur on Monday from 8-9, Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102).
