Important Vote Headed to Your Inbox

In 2023, the Arizona Legislature passed HB2298 requiring associations conduct a vote in order to retain the ability to regulate public roadways. In order for this vote to pass, one tenth of the members must vote, and at least of a majority of the members voting must vote YES, in favor of retaining the right to regulate public roadways. The Grayhawk Community Association (GCA) will be holding this vote in conjunction with the upcoming Board of Directors election.

If the GCA does not obtain enough YES votes, it will forever lose the ability to regulate public roadways. You can learn more about this important vote, including what would happen if the GCA does not obtain enough YES votes, by visiting our website.

Front Yard Landscaping

On recent property tours, staff have noticed homes that need additional landscaping and/or granite in their front yards. We understand that many residents lost plants due to the heat over the past few years, and that with the age of the community some front yards just need a little updating. Please remember that the front of your home contributes to the overall look of your street. That being said, we will be looking for owners to make any necessary updates this spring and will be sending letters if necessary.  If you do receive a letter, please reach out to staff so that we can help you to bring your yard into compliance.

Draining Your Pool

Draining your pool is occasionally necessary, but how you discharge the water is important. Pool water should never be drained into the street, common area, golf course property or Natural Area Open Space. It is a nuisance to neighbors, but also a violation of local, state and federal regulations. Pools should be drained into the sewer cleanout on your property or by one of the other method's list on the City of Scottsdale website.
