The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy will enlighten and educate you about the unusual ways in which people end up ten toes in the air in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. Learn how to deal with rattlesnakes, Gila Monsters, scorpions, mountain lions, bees, heat stroke, hypothermia, and the occasional hostile cactus, just to name a few. Register by Wednesday, March 5.

Important Vote Headed to Your Inbox

In 2023, the Arizona Legislature passed HB2298 requiring associations conduct a vote in order to retain the ability to regulate public roadways. In order for this vote to pass, one tenth of the members must vote, and at least of a majority of the members voting must vote YES, in favor of retaining the right to regulate public roadways. The Grayhawk Community Association (GCA) will be holding this vote in conjunction with the upcoming Board of Directors election.

If the GCA does not obtain enough YES votes, it will forever lose the ability to regulate public roadways. You can learn more about this important vote, including what would happen if the GCA does not obtain enough YES votes, by visiting our website.

Front Yard Landscaping

On recent property tours, staff have noticed homes that need additional landscaping and/or granite in their front yards. We understand that many residents lost plants due to the heat over the past few years, and that with the age of the community some front yards just need a little updating. Please remember that the front of your home contributes to the overall look of your street. That being said, we will be looking for owners to make any necessary updates this spring and will be sending letters if necessary.  If you do receive a letter, please reach out to staff so that we can help you to bring your yard into compliance.

Construction Material

If you are having construction materials delivered, please make sure that they are stored on your property (driveway or landscaping) and that the materials are not blocking any portion of the sidewalk and street. This includes materials that are delivered and will be installed the same day. The sidewalks need to remain clear at all times for the safety of your neighbors.
