Mailbox structures are installed and maintained by the Association. However, the Association does not have access to any locked spaces of the mailbox structures. This includes individual homeowner mailboxes or the back bay that the mail carrier opens to insert mail. If there is an issue with the mailbox structure, it can be reported to the Association office and we can help determine the next steps for repair.
Keys for new homeowners or tenants should be obtained through the current or previous owner as part of the sale or lease transaction. The Association does not have keys for individual homeowner mailboxes. If a key is lost or misplaced it is the responsibility of the homeowner to have the lock re-keyed. A lock re-key can be done for a fee through a locksmith or the nearest post office, which is Scottsdale Kachina.
